Free Version (No Account Required)

The free version of Danko does not require user login or account creation. No personal account information is stored for free users.

Paid Accounts Only

This data deletion policy applies only to users with paid subscriptions who have created accounts through paid subscription.

🔐 What Data Gets Deleted

When you request account deletion, we will delete:

✅ Your Account Information

Email address (if provided)
Account credentials
Profile information

✅ Purchase & Subscription History

Transaction records
Payment information
Subscription details

📊 What Data is Retained

As agreed upon during app initial usage, users have consented to data collection for model training and service improvement.

⚠️ The following data may be retained:

De-identified audio data used for translation
Translation history used for model training
Aggregated usage patterns (fully anonymized)
Technical logs (without personal identifiers)

This data is retained to:

Improve translation accuracy
Train and enhance AI models
Maintain service quality
Comply with legal obligations

Important: All retained data is fully de-identified and cannot be linked back to your account after deletion.

⏱️ Data Retention Timeline

Account & Personal Info: Deleted within 90 days of request
Purchase Records: Deleted within 90 days (except as required by law/tax regulations)
De-identified Training Data: Retained indefinitely for model improvement

🔄 Partial Data Deletion

If you wish to delete specific data without deleting your entire account, please specify in your email to [email protected]. We will accommodate reasonable requests where possible.

Options include:

Delete recent translation history
Remove specific audio recordings
Update account information

Granted microphone permissions
Started using the app
